Norsca players can choose from two different factions when starting a campaign. Norsca stances ( Raiding Camp, March, Encamp, Ambush, Raiding, Channelling).In the Campaign Unique campaign mechanics The other six were added in the Foundation Update. Two Regiments of Renown are rewards for Monster Hunts (see below), while one is a reward for gaining max allegiance with the Hound (again, see below). These are elite, unique versions of standard Norscan units. Norsca have several Regiments of Renown available. Norscan spellcasters have access to 7 lores of magic: No less than 7 monstrous infantry units, including characters.Ī Norscan army, showing Mammoth, Frost-Wyrm and Marauders Magic Mammoth units are a great asset, and have the siege attacker trait. Few ranged options, though Marauder Hunters (Javelins) are quite good against monstrous units. The frenzied warriors of Norsca also have the Rage ability, meaning the longer they fight in melee the greater the bonuses they receive.Īll marauder units have Rage (except Marauder Berserkers which have Berserk). Though lightly-armoured and vulnerable to missile fire, Norca has the tools to breach enemy lines and/or envelop the foe. Norsca is a faction of aggressive infantry, flexible monstrous infantry and colossal line-breaking Mammoths. The men of Norsca are reckoned to be amongst the most adept sailors and navigators in the Old World, and the brutality of their raids have been felt as far as the Witch King's baleful domain of Naggaroth and even, far to the east, in the mysterious realm of Cathay. The Norse range far, sailing the seas in fearsome longships to unleash their devasting fury on the south, looting and razing the realms of civilised races. For them, the Chaos Gods are harsh yet benevolent deities who provide them with the tools to endure in the brutal lands they call home. Warlike and cruel, the Norscan tribes of the icy north are savage fur-clad warriors who have sworn allegiance to the Ruinous Powers with unquestioning fervour. Tribal Confederation: Norsca can confederate Norscan Tribes by defeating their leaders, or vassalize them by taking their last settlement.The Everchosen's Summons: A special dilemma which allows Norsca to join the Chaos Invasion with the Warriors of Chaos, if they choose.Monstrous Arcanum: A book that allows Norsca to engage in monster hunt quests, for great rewards.Allegiance to the Gods: Norscan factions can gain favour with one of the four Chaos Gods, gaining various rewards and bonuses.Regiments of Renown: Norsca has access to several RoR, some have special requirements in the campaign. Units: Cheaper, undisciplined marauder units, backed up by many large monstrous units.
